Next up on my travels in Jay Z's words: "island hopping off Amalfi coast". All the talk about this little section of Italy off the beaten path is well justified. We traveled from Sorrento to Amalfi by bus and let me tell you... this isn't a ride for the faint of heart. You feel like you're about to fall off a cliff probably because you are. Luckily all in all the destination is well worth the near 500 heart attacks. Warm weather, beaches, and nothing but small authentic Italian restaurants hidden on the sides of the cliffs. You'll do a lot uphill walking so bring your hiking shoes! And the seafood selections at these restaurants is the best you'll find in Italy which make sense as you can watch the fishing boats out at sea as you're eating your meal. Ristorante da Zaccaria was amazing, about a 10 minute hike from the port of Amalfi with just about the best view you can ask for, and best of all reasonably priced.
You don't need to have money like Beyoncé and Jay Z to travel to Amalfi but you sure can live like them while here. I would reccommend looking into the hotels and B&Bs along the coast as there are so many and all so authentic.
