The Best West Coast City To Go To Escape The Fall

Hellooo lovelies,

So it looks like fall, maybe even winter, has finally arrived and we won't be seeing anymore of those surprise 80 degree days (goodbye, I'll see you in my dreams...) but just because the weather over here on the east coast seems to be wearing down doesn't mean you can't book a plane ticket and find those high-temp days elsewhere. I discovered a few little places this summer that no matter where it rains, it never pours here. So, if you don't want to be that basic gal who heads straight away to LA or Vegas when the temperatures drop you can try another little gem on the west coast: Scottsdale.

If you're looking for the perfect mix of boujie (bourgeois as my French speaking self wants to say) and boho here is your answer. I've never met a place that by day has such beautiful scenery but by night gives NYC a run for its money. I definitely lived one of the best versions of myself here with the help of a sidekick who knew the city way better than I did. For those of you looking to explore the town yourselves here's my list, and you know I only tell you the best of the best.

Where to stay: We stayed at the W Scottsdale which I would 10/10 recommend (not a sponsored post but W hotels keep a girl in mind 😉 ). Anyway, this hotel was right on the major party strip in town and has a pretty over-the-top pool party on Saturdays.

What to do: If you're up for a challenge hike up Camelback Mountain at sunrise. If you're here for the party scene join any of the dages (daytime rage) going on along the strip of clubs or at the W. Once night hits you'll know where the party is just pick your genre of music and find the club or bar that suits your sound desires.

Where to eat: Brunch in Scottsdale is no joke. If you want to keep the good times going from the night before head over to Hash Kitchen and enjoy an extensive bloody mary bar (or if you're like me and would rather not you should substitute with their mimosa flight), a live DJ, and great food. For a more relaxed scene head to Morning Squeeze for equally great food and fast service. For dinner head to Sushi Rocko or if you're an east coaster like me now's your chance to grab everyone's all-time favorite IN AND OUT (choose the vegetarian grilled cheese option 😉 ) and savor the moment while it lasts.

Whatever you do, wherever you go enjoy every moment of it and give something new a chance. It's your f*cking journey. #inspiration
