It's only the end of August but there is a noticeable chill in the air already. As much as I hate to say it... Fall is coming. But it's not quite here, so how do you dress for the slight chilliness without pulling out a puffer vest and grabbing your Kate Spade travel mug (assuming you're going to coffee shop hop begging for pumpkin spice). Well here's how:
1. Go for a light suede trench vest. You get the warmth of a vest but won't become overheated.
2. Leggings. I don't care what anyone says, leggings can definitely be used as pants in circumstances, especially when you have so many other bulky pieces, adding jeans would just add extra weight and you're not trying to be weighed down when you already have winter months for that ahead.
3. Thigh-high boots. If you don't have a pair of these yet you need to shoe splurge and now. You will definitely be seeing these everywhere this fall season. Personally, like Kourtney Kardashian, I have been wearing these all summer soo using them as a transition piece is a no brainier since certain labels, such as Steve Madden, have just released their thigh-highs.
4. Always an oversize tote. Whether it be class, work, or just for fun. The bigger the better. I of course recommend a neutral tone for this transition season.
Do you have any recommended transition pieces for this fall season? Let me know!
