You may come for the fashion, but you stay for the views...

Switching off the course of modern day fashion reporting into something a little more historic... The Palais Galleria was on my list of museums to see right off the bat for obvious reasons. Paris having a whole Palladian building complete with manicured gardens and sculptures at the entryway shows just how serious the art of fashion is to this city.
Another perk to visiting anywhere in the EU when you're under the age of 26 is you get discounted (or free) admission almost anywhere with proof. So admission into the museum was only €6.
I went during the Anatomy of a Collection (Anatomie d'une collection) exhibit which takes you through centuries of clothing (from garments worn by Marie Antionette) up until approximately the 1960s (with couture gowns of Dior, Balenciaga, and Yves Saint Laurent).
Every piece was worn by a person of historic significance from princes of the 1800s to Audrey Hepburn.
Some of the pieces and collections that were highlights:
Elsa Schiaparelli and Salvador Dali's "shoe hat"¹
Brigitte Bardot's Red Dress in La Femme et le Pantin²
Haute couture pieces, including this one by Balenciaga for Lilian, the Princess of Réthy³
Worth a visit for both history and modern couture.
